When Christ came to the earth, the Jews expected him to be a political
leader that will set them free from the Romans government. Even the
disciples misunderstood his kingdom messages for a political sphere of
influence.. But they soon understand that the kingdom of God is beyond
Political influence but in encompasses all sphere of human race. In the
apostolic fight for the kingdom, they have taught on every aspect of the
kingdom including the area of Governance, leadership and influence. They didn't leave anything out from the scripture.
The today Abraham Lincoln postulated theory of Democracy was coined from the scriptural ideology from Acts 6:1-5, where the early church complained as we are complaining today about equitable distribution of resources and discrimination. By the wisdom of God the Apostles requested that the people should choose men among them to serve them and represent them giving qualification for such position. So it became "the government of the People, By the People, and For the People". This solved the problem that was in the church then. The leaders were not chosen and imposed on the people by some cabals, neither were they selected by the Apostles.
There is need for us to really find out the real principles of Democracy or Apostolicracy, in order to help the leadership problem of the Africa nations were we have only thieves seeking for political offices.
The only solution to a nation leadership problem is Christ through the Church and it is not by religions fasting and prayers, let the religions leaders do the fasting and the prayers, but the congregations should acts, enter into an active politics, seek for political position and teach the world the truth about leadership.
Let the religions leaders stay in the position of prayers, and ministry of the word to teach the church the attribute of a leaders and kingdom cultures that will distinguished them from the people of the world. the virtue of peace,love, integrity, contentment, etc.
In the years past, many preachers and pastors have condemned Christians going into politic because they believed politics is a dirty game, it is full of corruption. I see this as a myopic view of the message of Christ and the message of the Kingdom. When Jesus was leaving, he commanded that we should all go into the world and make disciples of all nations. He didn't ask us to go around the world as believers go around political world trying to make disciples of them. we move from one gathering to another, declaring fasting and prayers for a change of government yet we stay back awaiting angels and the 24 elders to come and contest for political positions and stop the corruption in the land.
Some of our christian leaders today move to the top of the world instead of moving into the world, they are at the top of the world raining curses, proclaiming evil prophecy on the corrupt leaders with the assumption that their prophecy or proclamation will cause a radical transformation. As a voice for the end-time revival, I'm here to trigger the interest of any believing person to starred up the inner leadership and audacious attribute in them and enter into an active politics. Jesus will not come down to contest for Nigeria president when he has an ambassador among Nigeria Christians that can do it.
I used to believe that the corruption in our political world was as a result of the old men in politics who are older than the nation they govern hence treat it like a little child that can be cheated. But God opened my eyes using the incumbent governors of Kogi State and some young political office holders who held position and couldn't perform. Now i know it wasn't about the age but it is about the lack of Christ in the political world. Stop defending, praying and trusting God for a transformation. It is not about getting voters card and voting somebody but it is about going into this sphere of influence and transform it.
