TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED SYNDROME

"When they were few in number, of little account, and the sojourners in it, wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people, he allowed no one to oppress them; he rebuked kings on their account, saying 'Touch not my anointed ones and do my prophets no harm!'" - Psalms 105:12-15, 1 Chronicles 16:19-22.

When the purpose of a thing is unknown, abuse is inevitable. A very common statements used in the Church by preachers to shield themselves from corrections. The Church has been made to accept junks as truth on the ground that a man of God is anointed. This is not meant to say believers should go about insulting and fighting preachers on all issues. This is an admonishment meant to make people know their place and kick against any errors that proceeds from pulpit.

When a Pastor is involve in money laundering and needed to be prosecuted, you hear "touch not my anointed". When he beat his wife and needed to face disciplinary board, it is "touch not my anointed". When they neglect the poor people in their church to acquire properties and a call came against it, it is "touch not my anointed".  When they are involve in sex scandals and press release it, it is always "touch not my anointed". This is demonic and needs to stop.

Other believers can be punished for any offense in the church because he is not a Pastor and not anointed. A church member is caught in sexual sins, we blow the whistle, disgrace him in the front of the congregation, suspends him from any departments and give him seat behind the church. All this occur because he is not anointed man of God. Common challenge on an administrative methods of a preacher is punishable and curse-able by a preacher but the believer must not return it. This is because the pastor is anointed and the believer is not. Where on earth do we get this from?

Jesus is the Christ (The anointed one) and we are his body, the Church (The anointed ones). We are not like Christ (Christians), we are his bride (Mrs Christ). I used to be Stephen Sinner but after my wedding the day i gave my life to him, i became Stephen Christ. I am not acting like him, i am already in him. I'm becoming him on daily as i commune with him in the Holy Ghost just as a woman becomes her husband by facial look when they commune in sex. The Holy Ghost in me is the anointing, not olives oil, palm oil or wine or kernel pour on the head of a man. The body of Chist as individuals or in generals are the anointed one.

The popular scriptures used by preachers to defend their greed and ignorance is Psalms 105:15 or 1 Chronicles 16:22. These verses said same thing but they are both misinterpreted to suit the evil agenda of a preacher. They refers to the congregation of the israelites. They are not refering to Pastors or Kings or Prophets but the people of God. We are prophets even though we are not all in the office of a Prophet (1Thes 5:19-22, Joel 2:28). This is why we can decree a thing and it will be establish.
Jesus never condemned anyone in the bible however he condemned the actions of the teachers of the law. The early church at different instances criticize the actions of other disciples not for competition sake but all towards the growth of the Church. Peter a man whom Jesus asked to feed others was one of those whose actions at some points were questioned. In Acts 11, Jesus was criticize by the circumcision party and his responses weren't not insults, were not curses, but were reference to his encounters and how the experiences were in connection to the promise of the Holy Spirit by Christ. They all knew that Christ can give his spirit if he never supported it. Act 11:2 "So, when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcision party criticised him". Paul in Gal 2:11:16 openly rebuked Peter actions and it was not seen as a sin. In fact Peter at the end spoke of Paul as a beloved brother and not an enemy that fire and brimstone will destroy (2 Pet. 3:14-16). I know my letters are usually very difficult to understand, but it will do you no good to twist it to your destructions. I'm still alive and not dead, it will cost nothing to ask questions. Other Apostles were criticised at one point or the other. So, the fact that a man is a preacher is not above criticism or corrections.

Criticism is not evil but it is meant to build us. If we run from criticised or get angry at it, it only reveals we are not yet absolutely renewed and it will be good to get renewed at the end. I've been criticised severally by different people at different times. I'm taken corrections from some and ignores others. When men point your weakness to you, they don't hate you, they want you to be better. But you will dwell in error continually if you refused taking corrections. The early death of William Braham in the account of Roberts Liardons' "God's Generals" was because of a bad attitude to criticism. Kenneth Hagin spoke to Braham many times to stop the acts of teaching and focus on the prophecy given to him but his fame, his wealth and influence will not let him yield. Don't run from criticised, embrace them.

Some once told me she hate me because i'm dark in completions but my love towards her won her. Sometimes back as a class teacher, i've been criticised by other teachers in which ignored some and yield to others, today all those teachers celebrate me. Critics want the best from you even if they don't know it, it is left for you to see positively in all criticism.

The anointed of God are those whom God has called into his marvellous light. They are the chosen generations of those who seek him. God doesn't refers the kings or priests as anointed ones, he is very much aware that they are by the virtue of the office they occupies in the land of Israel. What differentiate us is the offices. The five-fold are not meant to be lord over the church but to serve the Church as we all do the work of the ministry. So, next time you want to stop criticisms, don't quote this passage, it is not applicable but rather go mute or find out reasons from the criticism and learn.

Shaloms.
