YOU ARE VALUABLE

"A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men." Proverbs 18:16.

Life brings to everyone both it good and it bad. Most of the time while some celebrate the good of it, others tends to dwell in pain of its bad. Then i realize that most people that dwell in bad experiences are usually those who settled for it and tend not to see an escape route.

You are not meant to settle for less, you ought to come up hither. You have to look within you and bring out the real you.

As an undergraduate, i was opportune to minister to several students. One of the shocking experience was of a lady who intended to commit suicide. She tried using poison but her friends came early to rescue her. At another time she tried stabbing herself to death but a friend of hers came to rescue her. She was weeping feeling frustrated and rejected yet she couldn't share her pain rather she was saying she's tired of the earth. She believes death will end everything. While speaking with her, i realize she got lot of potentials calling her out to exercise them but her immediate family doesn't believe in it, her friends don't know about those potentials since she decided to hide it from them. But after speaking with her she saw the reason to live again. A year later she won a national writing competition that she was interviewed on a national newspaper "Daily Guide 2016".

This lady experience create a question in my heart "How many values are in the grave?". This values left untapped, never harness and added no worth to the earth. They were wasted worth. This is because they never got the encouragement they needed.

Do you have something you think is worthless or you think can't be appreciated? You got a value in you. It is called potential because it is inside you and not yet harnessed. Look within you and you will see that which your passion want you to do but your personality (as introvert or extrovert) is limiting you to express. You have to conquer your fears and your limitations. You can actually get out of your shell and be known for your value. No one will encourage a new gift but you got to encourage yourself and fight yourself to limelight.

Your story can also change like that of the lady when you finally get out of your shell. The world need your worth, don't fail them. It is the value (gift) of a man that create (maketh) opportunities (room) for him and bring him before great people. Look within you, can you see the value in you?
